FREE YOUTH GOLF CLINIC - AGES 5-18 The Hiawatha Golf Project's primary goal is to introduce golf, at no cost, to all interested children, regardless of race, gender, socio-economic factors, or physical abilities. We are here to give every junior golfer “A Chance to Play.” We also encourage the development of social skills and personal confidence which will foster a sense of achievement in each child that will last a lifetime. An introduction to the game of golf is held every Saturday from May to August: 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m for boys and girls ages 5-10 11:00 a.m. - Noon for boys and girls ages 11-18 The Hiawatha Golf Project's students will earn the privilege to play on the 3-hole course at designated times by passing a skills and etiquette test conducted at The First Tee on Saturday morning. v Every Saturday* v Register opening day v Introduction to short game - putting, chipping and pitching v Introduction to golf swing v Rules of golf, safety and etiquette v Practice and learn on the new 3-hole junior course * Note: weather, holidays and other conflicts may force cancellation of the junior program check with instructors or golf shop.
